The national plastic surgery conference was held at Amritsar from 9 th to 13 th of November 22.. Attended by 800 plus plastic surgeons under presidentship of Dr Mahajan, it was the biggest one after the covid. Dr Medha Bhave demonstrated a neck tite jaw contouring procedure with immediate results which would improve over a month or so.
She also presented a thought provoking talk on polycystic ovarian syndrome in relation to plastic surgical domain of practice. The relevance of diagnosis of PCOS before treating hirsutism, hair loss, acne and before embarking on liposuction was depicted through illustrations. She emphasized upon comprehensive care and sustainable results to avoid recurrence thus saving money and repeated treatments for the patients.
Dr Medha Bhave was also invited to moderate a panel discussion on medico-legal issues faced by plastic surgeons with eminent lawyers and judges in the panel. The discussion was found to be very interesting and useful by the fellow plastic surgeons. Dr Medha’s questions and quips were appreciated by the audience as well as the esteemed panel members.
Dr Medha received an excellence award at the hands of esteemed guests at the inaugural function of the conference.
